This Is Not a Government Office or Records Custodian. Nebraska Residents Directory is privately operated. We cannot obtain or certify a file, confirm who lives at an address, or change an official entry. Contact the agency or county that keeps the record. For an emergency, call 911. If someone is stalking or harassing you, contact local law enforcement.
Route a Record Question
Use the page that matches the kind of record or search at issue in Nebraska:
- Address-based property records: use the Nebraska street directory route
- Historic books and past households: start with the Nebraska city directory collections
- Checking a name across official sources: follow the Nebraska resident lookup steps
- Finding the state and county keepers: see Nebraska's resident records offices
- A record that is not online: ask its keeper about a written request under Nebraska Public Records Statutes
Nebraska has no single statewide custodian for every record. Direct a current-record request to the agency or county office that created or keeps it; the Attorney General's public-records page explains the state request timeline and fee rules.
