Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that supplies those results. Nebraska Residents Directory does not store a copy of that search on its own server. A message sent to us includes the details in that message, which we use to respond.
Information Collected by the Host
Standard hosting logs may include an IP address, browser type, pages opened, and visit times. We review such data in groups to maintain the service and learn which pages are used. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may also rely on cookies or related tools where enabled.
How Information Is Used
Information supports site operation, issue repair, aggregate traffic counts, and page improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or make individual visitor profiles.
Outside Records and Search Links
County and state portals, libraries, archives, and search services linked here set their own privacy terms. Those rules apply to information you enter on their pages. Sponsored search results are also supplied by an outside company.
Who May Process Information
Hosting and support providers handle server logs to keep the service running. Where analytics or advertising tools are active, their partners may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information when required by valid legal process.
Keeping Information Safe
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes already described. Because there are no visitor accounts, this service holds no account password or personal profile to expose.
Children's Information
This service is intended for adults and is not designed for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18; tell us if you believe a minor submitted information so we can remove what we find.
Privacy Requests and State Law
For covered businesses, the Nebraska Data Privacy Act, Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 87-1101 through 87-1130, provides rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal data and to opt out of certain sales, targeted advertising, or profiling, subject to exceptions and verification. The law does not make government custodians remove lawful public records. Public-record access and requests are governed separately by Nebraska Public Records Statutes, §§ 84-712 through 84-712.09. Because this site keeps little visitor information, a request can be made through the Contact page; official county and state records questions must go to the office holding them.
Policy Changes
We will post any policy update here. Continued use after the revised text appears means the updated policy applies to later visits.
